If you're traveling with a child or children in 2019, Frontier Airlines is now offering free flights for kids, according to a report from The Points Guy .
Letting people know it's not an early April Fool's joke, the report says the new offer will let kids fly for free if they are 14 or under, without sitting on your lap or needing a companion pass. One kid can fly for free for every adult on the ticket, and anyone 15 and up counts as an adult which will give them a free ticket.
There are certain things you have to do to get the free flights. The first is being a Discount Den member, which costs $59.99 per year. Being a member gets you the kids fly free perk, as well as Frontier's lowest prices for you and up to six people on your reservation.
There are restrictions as well, and kids fly free is only valid on certain days to destinations within the United States.
Those dates are:
- February 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27
- March 5, 6, 12, 1, 19, 20, 26, 27
- April 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30
- May 1, 4, 7, 8, 11, 14, 15, 18, 21, 22, 29
- June 1, 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26
- July 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30
- August 5, 6
The Points Guy does say that they expect more "kids fly free" dates to be announced when Frontier extends its schedule.
The airline flies to several destinations from the Motor City, including Orlando, Fla., Fort Myers, Fla., Las Vegas, Denver and Phoenix.
