The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary at Tampa Arms Company.

The call came in around 2:48 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

The gun store is located at 4023 W Waters Ave in Tampa. The front glass of the store was left shattered. Deputies are working with the owners of the store to count inventory and figure out how many guns and weapons were stolen.

Currently, the ATF says at least 35 guns were stolen.

There were surveillance cameras in the store. Watch the video below:

Deputies on scene tell ABC Action News that this type of crime is very disappointing because if weapons were stolen, they could be used for crimes in the future.

This isn't the first time something like this has happened in the Tampa Bay area.

Burglars break into Grey Wolf Armory in Wesley Chapel

Since 2014, there have been at least 17 burglaries of gun shops (including pawn shops that sell guns), in the Bay Area.

Thieves have been known to use cars to crash into gun shops in the Carolinas. In May, the ATF told ABC Action News that they were looking to see if there was a possible regional link to burglaries in North Carolina, but the ATF wouldn't comment on that today, saying this is an ongoing investigation.

The ATF is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.

People can contact the ATF by calling (800) ATF-GUNS or by submitting a tip using the ATF mobile app found at www.reportit.com.
