A South Carolina mother is receiving plenty of praise for her inspiring post about her tax return.

The woman, Christina Knaack, says her she received a $5,600 refund from the IRS and decided to use the money to pay her rent for a year.

The single mom, originally from Florida, says she works a minimum wage job and the money means she will also now have a little extra cash to do things with her children.

"It's better throughout the year like I don't have to worry about my kids saying 'Mommy I need this,' and I can't get it because I'm still trying to debate on whether to pay a light bill or if I can pay my rent. You see too many posts now about 'Oh, I got my kid the latest Jordans,' or 'Oh, look my 7-year-old has an iPhone 7.' People lose sight of what's important," Knaack told WHNS-TV.

The post has been shared more than 128,000 times since Wednesday.
