(CNN) A ferocious storm in Ireland over the weekend has rocketed a reporter to fame and flooded her with Internet glory.
While covering a nasty storm , RTÉ News senior journalist Teresa Mannion delivered a live report full of gusto in a thick Irish accent.
The report quickly went viral and spurred various memes.
"I think what you're trying to say is I was bellowing, and you're absolutely right," Mannion told CNN correspondent Jeanne Moos.
But her bellowing ended up beloved.
The veteran Irish television journalist was dubbed a "national treasure."
Next thing you know, Teresa's being photoshopped and imitated in a variety of ways on the Internet.
"I had no idea I was roaring as loudly as I was until I finished that report, and the editor says, 'Wow you can actually tone it down a bit for the next bulletin,’" said Mannion.
But she’s taking it on in stride and having a good laugh at it all.
"I see the comedy gold in it. I really do," said Mannion.
