COTTONWOOD, Minn. — Video of a Minnesota teen seeing color for the first time is warming hearts.

Video posted to Twitter on Nov. 21 shows a boy named Jonathan Jones, who is severely colorblind, putting on special glasses that allow him to see color. Jonathan immediately smiles and is moved to tears.

Since the emotional video was posted last week, the teen’s family said they have been “overwhelmed by how many kind, generous people have wanted to help him get a pair of his own colorblind glasses.”

They boy’s family said they have had multiple pairs of glasses donated to them but are now raising money to purchase the special glasses for those in need.

As of Monday morning, the GoFundMe page has raised more than $25,000. The glasses cost about $350 a pair.
