This story will have any swimmer thinking twice before taking a dip in a fresh body of water in Florida.

On Saturday, the Marion County Sheriff's Office posted photos on their Facebook page that a 13-foot alligator had "taken residence" in a designated swimming zone of Silver Glen Springs Recreation Area.

A deputy called a few trappers to the scene where they pulled the alligator on shore.  FWC contracted-trappers then took the gator into their custody.

The swimming area was reopened after the gator was removed.

However, let this be a reminder that any fresh body of water in Florida could contain a reptile or two looking for a meal.
