It’s time to go back. Way back.

The internet Archive released more than 2,000 classic DOS games for free on Monday. The collection includes favorites like Sim City, The Oregon Trail and Wolfenstein 3D.

The most popular game is a 1994 remaster of Prince of Persia, which was originally released in 1990. You don’t need a copy of DOS to run the games – they play in a browser window.

That's the world before Windows. It was a frightening place.

Internet Archive is a nonprofit that preserves electronic media, including old web pages and console games.
