YORK COUNTY, Pennsylvania — Six days of excessive rainfall has spurred the closures of two big Pennsylvania theme parks.
Hersheypark and ZooAmerica are closed today, July 23, 2018, out of safety concerns for guests and employees. Hersheypark tweeted today that any additional changes to the operating schedules of both parks will beprovided on Twitter.
Much of central Pennsylvania, including York County, is under a flood warning. It has been heavily raining there for nearly a week.
The region is expecting about 10 inches of rain, according to the York Daily Record.
Unfortunately, due to the excessive rainfall over the past three days and localized flooding, Hersheypark and ZooAmerica will be closed Monday, July 23 for the safety of our employees and guests. Any additional changes to operating schedules will be provided here when available.
