Bomb threat at Naval Station Norfolk cleared

UPDATE, 11:30 A.M. EASTERN:
Normal operations have resumed after a bomb threat at Naval Station Norfolk on Wednesday. A military dog alerted police to a vehicle, but the vehicle was cleared and not deemed a threat.

According to WVEC in Norfolk, four more bomb threats at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story are being investigation today. The base is not locked down but its harbor has been secured, WVEC reported.

People at Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia have been given a warning to "shelter in place."

The warning comes after a bomb threat was called into a regional dispatch center there early Wednesday morning. The threat came in around 6 a.m. local time, according to Norfolk-based WVEC.

As of 10 a.m. Eastern, it was still under investigation.
