Chipotle to hold nationwide 'Career Day' on January 14

Chipotle restaurants are holding a nationwide career day in hopes of hiring 15,000 new employees.

On Thursday, January 14, Chipotle is holding a “Coast to Coast Career Day,” with interviews of potential new employees from 8-10 a.m. and 2-5 p.m. local time.

Those interested are asked to register onlineto secure a time at the restaurant location nearest them. COVID-19 safety protocols, including masks and social distancing, will be followed.

The restaurant chain, which serves on-demand Mexican-inspired food, says they ended 2020 with “nearly 11,000 internal promotions and the possibility of roughly 200 new restaurant locations on the horizon.”

"We are fortunate to be experiencing growth during this unique time and want to safely provide an opportunity for purpose-driven individuals to join us on our mission of cultivating a better world," said Marissa Andrada, Chief Diversity, Inclusion and People Officer in a written statement.

Employee benefits include access to mental health care, tuition reimbursement, and free meals.

Chipotle already employs more than 94,000 people at their 2,700 locations in the U.S, Canada, the U.K., France and Germany.
