Have the days of lining up — or logging on — for Black Friday and Cyber Monday officially passed?

After reporting that shoppers spent lessduring the recent Thanksgiving weekend than they did last year, the National Retail Federation predicts fewer people will go online looking for deals today.

While not a drastic drop, the NRF’s Cyber Monday survey predicted 52.3 percent of adults would shop online today, compared to 54.8 percent in 2013. Among various age groups surveyed, people 18 to 34 years old were most likely to shop online today — with over 66 percent planning to log on.

Over the big weekend, individual shoppers were expected to spend about $27 fewer, resulting in about $7 billion total of lost retail from last year.

The majority of Cyber Monday shoppers surveyed by the NRF said they would be log on sometime in the morning, meaning many businesses may be dealing with distracted employees during work hours.
