Law enforcement in Virginia is looking for a woman who portrayed herself as a Target employee as she got away with stealing $40,000 worth of Apple iPhones from the retailer earlier in March, according to the Fairfax County Police.

The woman, who is unidentified, showed up at a Target store on March 15 in Alexandria, Virginia, portraying herself as an employee of the store. There, she was able to gain access to the store's stock room.

She then took a number of iPhones and placed them into a box. Video released by police shows the woman calmly pushing a cart out of the store. In the video, it appears the woman had two moving boxes and a coat in the cart.

As she was leaving the store, someone drove a dark SUV closer to the store. The woman unloaded the boxes into the back of the SUV and then got in the passenger side of the vehicle.

According to police, she is not affiliated with Target, but appeared to have knowledge of the store’s procedures, employee hours and the location of the iPhones in the stockroom.
