Nearly three months after Hurricane Maria devastated the entire island Puerto Rico, the Puerto Rico Travel Company claims that the island is ready to accept visitors despite power not being fully restored.
According to the tourism group, Puerto Rico has nearly 100 hotels open, along with 4,000 restaurants. Nearly 75 percent of hotels have opened since Maria.
Puerto Rico has 107 tourist attractions that are open and operational. Malls, airports and ground travel are functional.
While Puerto Rico's tourism agency claims that the island is open for travel, there are still many areas without running water or electricity. According to NBC News, just 63 percent of the nation has electricity, and there are still 8 percent without running water.
NBC News reported there has been nearly a 5 percent decline in power distribution over the last week.
