Honda slapped with largest automaker fine ever

Honda Motor Company has been fined $70 million for not reporting deaths and injuries to the government, according to the New York Times.

The Times said this is the largest fine the National Highway Traffic Safety Commission has ever given an automaker. Honda did not report more than 1,700 death and injury claims nor certain warranty and other claims in the past 11 years.

Honda has agreed to pay the fine, according to the Washington Post.
