DETROIT — Shocking dashcam video shared by the Michigan State Police (MSP) shows a man who was trying to jump from his moving car.

MSP troopers caught the video, and it shows the man jump the center wall and into oncoming traffic.

Video shows a man fleeing police and ultimately jumping from his moving car and into oncoming traffic. No one was injured in the incident.

MSP says they put this video out to show the unexpected dangers they encounter each day.

The video starts outs with the trooper in pursuit of a black Impala. His lights and sirens are blaring.

The dashcam video then shows that the trooper catching up to the out of control car, which has its driver's side door is open.

The car doesn't stop and heads up a hill before it swerves back onto the interstate.

Something flies out of the car as the vehicle crashes into the concrete barrier. Then, the driver jumps out of the car and hops the median and crosses into oncoming traffic.

Two troopers followed behind him and put him in cuffs.

"Here's a guy basically standing on the side of the car got the door open, swerving in and out of lanes," Lt. Michael Shaw said. "We just wanted to show the community what police officers go through a daily basis."

Police say the suspect was wanted on several warrants. They also say they attempted to arrest him earlier but choose not to engage in a chase.
