Pokemon Don't: 'Cheaters' to be banned for life

Some Pokemon Go players might be forced to stop.

That is, of course, if those players are caught cheating.

Pokemon Go listed a series of violations that could get users banned from playing the game. The violations include falsifying a location among other concerns the creators have.

"Our goal is to provide a fair, fun and legitimate game experience for everyone," the ban notice states. "We will continue to work with all of you to improve the quality of the gameplay, including ongoing optimization and fine tuning of our anti-cheat system."

Violators can submit a form to appeal the termination.

The Verge reported developer Niantic made the changes to combat the use of bots that could automate portions of the game or "GPS spoofing" that can make a phone believe a player is in a different country.
