President Donald Trump will visit Nashville Friday following a series of storms that have killed more than 20 people and injured hundreds more.
Trump made the announcement Tuesday at the National Association of Counties Legislative Conference in Washington.
Prior to his speech, Trump said he wanted to send "warm wishes" to the people of Nashville.
Trump said he's working with Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee in providing aid to the area. Lee confirmed in a press conference Tuesday morning that he was in contact with the White House.
"Our hearts are full of sorrow for the lives that were lost," Trump said. "It's a vicious thing, those tornadoes."
