SAN DIEGO — Groups of demonstrators and the infamous "Baby Trump" balloon greeted President Donald Trump during his visit to San Diego Wednesday.
Protesters with the Backbone campaign gathered at Horton Plaza Park before 9 a.m. local time ahead of the President's appearance at a campaign fundraiser at the US Grant hotel, located a short distance away from the park.
During the rally, which was scheduled to last until Trump departed the hotel, the giant Baby Trump balloon was inflated above the event.
The balloon has been present for numerous protests across the world, and it made an appearance earlier this summer during Vice President Mike Pence's trip to San Diego.
