A voluntary recall has been expanded to include three types of organic nut butter that was sold in more than a dozen states.
According to the Food and Drug Administration, Inspired Organics LLC issued a recall for all jars of peanut butter, tahini butter and almond butter due to a possible listeria contamination.
The release expanded on an earlier recall earlier this month for jars of sunflower butter and specific lots of almond butter.
Those who purchased the jars are asked to either dispose of them or return them. The products were sold in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Ontario, Canada.
