AAA reports a record number of people will be on the road for the holidays.
With all those miles going on the odometer, it’s important to plan your rest and fueling stops accordingly.
Palm Beach County driver, Bob Prince, says the increase is noticeable at places at the West Palm Beach Service Plaza off the turnpike where a constant stream of drivers were keeping the pumps busy Monday evening.
According to AAA the number of drivers on the road this holiday season (December 21- January 1) will be at an all time high of 104 million, that’s 3.9 million higher than last year.
With that in mind drivers like Prince say it’s important to pack your patience, “ Take your time be patient and let people get in front of you if they need to get over, no road rage,” he says.
Gas prices are expected to dip in time for the holidays but are still higher than last year’s national average of $2.37.
