Two Secret Service agents are under investigation for allegedly crashing a car into a White House barrier while drunk on March 4.

One of the agents is a top member of President Barack Obama’s security detail, The Washington Post reports.

The agents were stopped by police but a supervisor did not allow them to be arrested, CNN reports. The incident will be investigated by the Homeland Security Department's Inspector General's Office.

This is the latest in a series of embarrassments for the Secret Service, including:

  • A drone evades detection and crashes on the White House lawn (Jan. 2015)
  • A man with a knife climbs the White House fence and enters the executive mansion (Sept. 2014)
  • An armed security contractor with a criminal record enters an elevator with the president (Sept. 2014)
  • Agents pass out drunk in Amsterdam (March 2014)
  • Agents pay for prostitutes in Colombia (April 2012)
  • An uninvited couple crashes a White House dinner (Nov. 2009)
  • Secret Service fails to realize for four days that gunshots were fired at the White House (Nov. 2011)
