Social media dispute leads to shooting in Nashville, one person critically injured

A 21-year-old man was critically injured by gunfire during an altercation stemming from a social media dispute on Monday evening.

According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville police, Alando Harris Jr. was shot in the head and taken to a local hospital Police said he’s not expected to survive.  

Harris' father, Alando Harris Sr., told police that the shooting stemmed from an ongoing social media dispute in which Harris Sr. was involved. 

Harris Sr. agreed to meet with the individuals and asked his son to go with him. 

According to investigators, surveillance video shows both parties arriving at the scene and reacting to gunfire “almost immediately.” 

Police said Jadon Malone was identified as a suspect through social media and selected from a lineup of individuals. 

Malone was also reportedly seen removing the license plate from the suspect vehicle while at another location. 

Malone has been charged with attempted criminal homicide.
