Former "Saved by the Bell" actor Dustin Diamond reported to jail in Ozaukee County Friday.
Diamond is serving a four-month jail sentence with work release in for an altercation at a Port Washington bar.
Diamond, who played Screech on the 1990s TV show, was convicted last June of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors. He was cleared of a felony.
He replied "not yet" when asked if he had anything to say to his fans at the jail. Diamond was accompanied by a female acquaintance, who he kissed before being buzzed behind a locked door.
Diamond was initially scheduled to begin his jail sentence last summer, but a judge stayed the sentence pending his appeal.
According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office, Diamond was assigned to a living unit that houses work-release and short-term sentenced individuals.
Diamond testified he was trying to protect his girlfriend when he pulled out a pocketknife at the bar on Christmas Day 2015.
