A crushing winter storm has buried most of the northeastern United States in snow this week, including the nation’s capitol and its iconic sights.
Anyone may get a live look at the National Mall, including a flurry-covered U.S. Capitol Building and Washington Monument, with EarthCam’s latest camera feed airing online. The free, live video feed was set up to document the progress being made during the National Mall’s turf restoration project.
Via the feed, viewers may see the familiar sights of Washington, D.C., with construction equipment also visible amid the blanket of white.
A press release from EarthCam claims “the public can virtually travel to Washington, D.C.” and “watch as America’s front yard is transformed.” The group also has live video feeds airing from Seattle and Los Angeles, among other cities, on its website.
