COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- A former Miami Dolphin and Florida Gator player is facing drug possession charges in Collier County.
Leon Orr was arrested Tuesday and charged with marijuana possession (less than 20 grams) and synthetic narcotic possession.
According to the report from the Collier County Sheriff's Office, deputies pulled Orr over near the I-75 toll plaza in Collier County for having illegally tinted windows. The deputy smelled marijuana coming from the car and asked Orr to remove himself from the vehicle.
During a search of Orr's pockets, Orr admitted stuffing marijuana down his pants. The deputy also found marijuana wax and other drug related items inside the vehicle.
Orr was a backup defensive lineman for the Miami Dolphins this season, after being called up from the practice squad on October 12. He has since been released, according to reports.
The Dolphins found out about Leon Orr's arrest during practice and promptly cut him, Adam Gase just said.
