PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A 31-year-old pedestrian "displaying abnormal behavior" at the intersection of Palmetto Park Road and State Road 7 west of Boca Raton, was struck and killed by a pickup truck Friday night, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said Saturday morning.

PBSO's crash report said drugs/alcohol were a factor on the pedestrian's part.

Kylee Renee Ahana-Jamile, of Boca Raton, was unlawfully entering the roadway in an incident reported at 9:42 p.m., according to the PBSP crash report. She was wearing a non-reflective black shirt and jean shorts, and sat down in the outside turn lane of westbound Palmetto Park Road.

A 2021 Chevrolet Silverado truck, driven by a 45-year-old Parkland man, was traveling westbound on Palmetto Park Road within the outside left turn lane and approaching SR 7 on a green traffic signal.

The driver applied his breaks but didn't observe the pedestrian in time to avoid collision, PBSO said. The pedestrian went under the truck.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue pronounced him deceased on the scene.
