A Spirit Airlines plane with 145 people onboard made an emergency landing at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport Monday morning.
Spirit Flight 647 flying from Niagara Falls International Airport to Fort Lauderdale took off at 2:21 a.m.
Moments later flames shot out of right engine causing the engine to shutdown. The plane was diverted to Buffalo Niagara International Airport where it landed at 2:31 a.m.
Firefighters surrounded the plane upon landing, but no flames were found.
No injuries were reported.
Spirit airlines says passengers will have an option to take the next flight to Ft. Lauderdale Tuesday morning or get a ticket refund.
