The final NBC/Wall Street Journal poll of the presidential campaign shows Hillary Clinton holding a narrowing lead over Donald Trump.

Clinton gets support from 44 percent of likely voters to Trump's 40 percent.

Libertarian Gary Johnson is backed by 6 percent of those polled, and the Green Party's Jill Stein is at 2 percent.

In just a two way contest, Clinton's advantage over Trump is 48 to 43 percent.

But Clinton's lead is down from the 11-point margin she enjoyed in a 4-way poll taken in mid-October.

This newest survey comes after the letter FBI Director James Comey sent to Congress saying his agency had learned of e-mails that "appear to be pertinent" to the Clinton private server investigation.

The NBC/WSJ poll was conducted Nov. 3-5 of 1,282 likely voters (including more than 600 reached by cell phone), and it has a margin of error of plus-minus 2.7 percentage points.
