As Florida’s early vote total approaches two million, one group of voters is now emerging as the key to many close races.

“The really important vote in this election is going to be the no party voter,” says WPTV political consultant Brian Crowley.

Statewide numbers indicate that about 18% of the ballots already in are from non-party voters.

Republican ballots are edging Democratic ballots by 1.5%.

Crowley says non-party voters this time around may be influenced by President Trump in the voting booth.

The latest turnout information shows about 50,000 non-party voters casting ballots so far in Palm Beach County. On the Treasure Coast, the non-party turnout so far is running between 21 and 25%.
