The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers wants to hear from you about plans for discharging water from Lake Okeechobee.
The agency is considering a proposal that would give them more flexibility for dealing with harmful algae blooms.
Until this year, the Army Corps was required to carry out discharges when the lake reached a certain level, which sometimes led to algae pouring into the rivers and canals.
The new proposal would allow them to release water before the algae blooms appear.
