BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — A group in Boynton Beach got out of the house and spent Wednesday morning cleaning up the public beach.

Connie Belling posted on Facebook Tuesday night, asking people to help clean up to beach at Ocean Ridge Park.
For Daniel and Howard Medieros, this was the first time they've done a beach cleanup.
"I wanted to clean up a lot of it because there is a lot of trash that can get stuck and kill the animals," said 8-year-old Daniel Medieros.
The group spent a few hours on Wednesday cleaning up trash washed ashore by Hurricane Dorian. Belling said she was happy to see people respond to her Facebook request.
"It is unbelievable how much is up here," said Belling.
September 21 will be the International Coastal Cleanup Day, but there is still plenty of trash if anyone grabs a trash bag or gloves and heads to the beach.
