A video shared by a wildlife refuge in the Florida Panhandle is offering a reminder to secure your trash and protect the environment.

In a Monday Facebook post, the St. Marks and St. Vincent National Wildlife Refugessaid they received a video from a resident that shows an alligator eating a plastic bag.
The post from the refuge says, "This is a strong reminder to please secure your trash when you carry it home with you. Help protect our wildlife. Please keep an eye out for a gator in distress or one trailing a rope or string. Thank you!"
