Pastor Tom Mullins, the founding pastor of Christ Fellowship Church, and his wife Donna say evangelist Billy Graham was an inspiration.
"The great thing about Dr. Graham is that he was a pastor to all pastors in the world," Pastor Mullins said.
His wife Donna added, "Greatest, outstanding man in the world."
They remember meeting him 10 years ago in North Carolina when he greeted them at the door and served root beer floats as they sat there and got to know each other.
Before they left the house, Graham asked if he could pray for them.
"Dr. Graham prayed over my wife and I, he prayed a blessing over our marriage, we prayed a blessing over our ministry, and I've always felt a special impact over my life and inspiration since then." Rev. Mullins said.
That prayer was captured in a picture and in an oil painting in their home. The evangelist also signed the inside of Pastor Mullins's Bible and endorsed his book. He says Billy Graham was a man of integrity. "He set the standard really on how to live our lives and how to keep the message focused and simple about God's love for the people."
"We can never do what he did. And yet we have a calling to step in and be a part of what he has done all of these years, loving God, loving people with all that was within him," his wife said.
