January is "Human Trafficking Awareness" month and on Monday people will get the chance to learn more about the signs they should be looking for to detect if it’s going on near them.

Palm Beach County ranks third out of all Florida counties for suspected human trafficking cases, while Florida ranks third in the country.

Authorities say adults and minors are being trafficked for labor and sex.

Palm Beach County has had high-profile cases including, including one involving 27-year-old Robert Miner.

Detectives say after Miner lured women to Palm Beach or Broward County and would then set them up in hotels along Interstate 95.

A victim from West Palm Beach said Miner picked her up and took her to several hotels to perform sex acts with different men over a period of 30 days.

Monday's forum hopes to educate the public and prevent similar cases. The forum is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon at the Public Safety Training Center on the campus of Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth.
