PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man they say is connected to a bomb scare earlier this week.
Deputies said 47-year-old Gregory Gonzalez threw a suspicious item into Cycle Ivan's motorcycle store in the 2800 block of Forest Hill Blvd. on Wednesday.
Part of Forest Hill Blvd. was shut down as the bomb squad investigated.
The Sheriff's Office said the device posed no danger, but was designed in such a way as to simulate an improvised explosive device.
Gonzalez confessed to making the device to resemble a bomb, with the intent of scaring employees of the motorcycle shop, according to PBSO.
He's now facing charges of Placing a Hoax Bomb, and his bond is $200,000.
