PALM SPRINGS, Fla. — The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said a man was found dead inside a parked car early Thursday morning at an apartment complex in Palm Springs.
At 2:39 a.m., deputies responded to a call of shots fired in the area of John I. Leonard High School in Greenacres.
However, PBSO said when they arrived they found no evidence of a shooting.
Then around 4 a.m., the Palm Springs Police Department notified PBSO that they found a homicide victim inside a car at the Coronado Springs apartments located near the 500 block of Purdy Ln.
PBSO said they believe the shooting victim is connected to the early call regarding shots fired in Greenacres, so they are leading the investigation.
The name of the victim has not been released. Suspect information and the motive for the killing is unknown.
