PALM SPRINGS, Fla.-- A world famous artist is bringing King Kong back to life in Palm Beach County.
Mural artist Jeremy Raymer will use two entire walls of the G-Star High School of the Arts sound stage in Palm Springs to paint the most famous ape in the world.
The artist was inspired when, during a visit to the film school, he saw a vintage poster of the movie hanging on a wall.
The artwork will be visible to drivers who pass by on Congress Avenue.
"This Kong will be a newer rendition of him. This plane here would be actually from the original King Kong. And there will be a small rendition of Faye Wray from the original King Kong perched up there. And then we're actually going to have another plane crashed on the building across the way here as well," said Raymer.
Much of the project is scheduled to be completed Monday afternoon with the final touches coming on a return visit.
