LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. — At least 50 family members, friends and loved ones of the little girl gathered for a vigil near Benny’s on the Beach in Lake Worth Beach.
They showed up with lanterns, balloons, candles and pictures of the girl as their way to pay tribute to her memory.
A close family friend led everyone in prayer and offered words of support to the family, including the little girl’s father who attended the vigil.
Police say Amarilyss was shot and killed by her mother. Then, police say she also confessed to killing her step-father and injured her mother.
Tuesday night, loved ones did not talk about the tragedy. They only spoke positively about Amaryllis.
“Very bright. Always had a smile on her face. Very bubbly. Just a precious baby girl,” said family friend Beba Bicente.
Police have not determined a possible motive in the killings.
