Lake Worth city leaders are hoping a newly designated art and cultural district is the key to the city’s future.
“We’re like where Key West meets Soho or Greenwich Village,” says Mayor Pam Triolo referring to the city’s growing artistic community.
The goal now is to market and attract more artists and businesses and rebrand the city as a creative center.
“We’re letting people know who we are, we’ve been our own worst cheerleader for the longest time,” Triolo says.
The city is getting a grant and support from Cultural Council of Palm Beach County.
