LAKE WORTH, Fla. — The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly hit and run in which a bicyclist was killed.
PBSO said the bicyclist, 50-year-old Richard Watson, was crossing S. Dixie Highway in suburban Lake Worth Thursday night around 11:15 p.m.
A vehicle, possibly a 2012-2016 Chevy Malibu, struck Watson and he was thrown off his bike.
"I just heard a bang, and when I looked around, there was only a bike that I saw," said Arthur Hinton, who witnessed the crash. "Whoever hit him was gone."
The Sheriff's Office said the car took off, and Watson died on scene.
If you know who the driver is, call Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 1-800-458-TIPS.
