Pedestrian killed in suburban Lake Worth Sunday

SUBURBAN LAKE WORTH, Fla. -- A pedestrian was killed Sunday night in suburban Lake Worth.

Florida Hightway Patrol says 62-year-old William Salvador Lubo of Lake Worth was struck by a 2007 Dodge around 10:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and Congress Avenue after entering the path of the vehicle.

Lubo was pronounced dead at Delray Medical Center.

FHP says alcohol was not a factor in regards to the driver of the vehicle. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
