A local ministry partnered with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office to help hungry people in the county this weekend.

On Saturday, the Association of Hispanic Ministers of Palm Beach County worked in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Foundation and other organizations at a Distribution Center in Lake Worth Beach by distributing food to pastors of churches to help feed families who have lost their income due to the coronavirus pandemic.

WPTV spoke with Colonel Tony Araujo with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, who said, "We're maybe the glue putting it together. But this is a full fledged community effort with the pastors, the business community, the citizens, our employees and people we don't even know that came together for a good cause."

The donated food will be available at over 60 churches on Sunday between 2pm and 5pm.
