LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. -- A 24-year-old man died early Sunday in a crash in Loxahatchee.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says Collin Redding was a passenger in a 2013 Ford Mustang that was traveling northbound at 5:30 a.m. on 140th Avenue N., approaching its termination at 60th Street N.

PBSO says the Mustang, driven by 24-year-old Nicholas Wolfe, failed to slow or stop for the posted stop sign and violently impacted a 5-foot dirt embankment.

Both occupants of the vehicle were transported to St. Mary's Medical Center, where Redding died several hours later from injuries he sustained in the crash.

PBSO says neither of the occupants appeared to have been wearing a seatbelt.

Wolfe suffered serious injuries.
