Frontier Elementary School is collecting donations at its school to help people impacted by Hurricane Michael.
Last week’s hurricane was the strongest to ever hit the Florida Panhandle, leaving a path of damage and destruction behind.

Many residents were left without their homes and basic necessities.
"We live in Florida and this could have been us, so everyone reaches out to us, and we need to teach our kids to be that person who sees a need and reaches out to help others," said Sherrie Dulany, a teacher at Frontier Elementary.
The donation drive is a service project for the school safety patrol. The school will accept donations from the community as well as from school parents and staff.
The school says Palm Beach County firefighters will deliver the donations.
“The firefighters we have delivering the items are making multiple trips up to the Panhandle. They are there now taking the first delivery, and they will be assessing the situation, what the needs are and report back to us,” said Dulany.
Frontier Elementary is located at 6701 180th Ave. N in Loxahatchee.
