WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.--Palm Beach County's appeal with visitors continues to grow.
About 2.16 million tourists visited the county during the first quarter of the year which is a record, according to Discover The Palm Beaches.
The previous record was last year when 2.08 million people visited
“With such a strong showing in our first quarter, we’re confident that tourism will continue to be a powerful economic driver for The Palm Beaches,” Jorge Pesquera, president and CEO of DTPB, said in a news release.
Just last month Gov. Rick Scott announced that Florida welcomed its highest number of visitors during the first quarter of the year with 29.8 million tourists.
