Since the start of the school year there have been a dozen false threats made at Palm Beach County schools. Two happened on Tuesday alone.
School District Police Chief Lawrence Leon is asking for the public's help to curb the problem.
He says the threat at Palm Beach Central High today was unsubstantiated and involved a message about a shooting. There was also a bomb hoax at Emerald Cove Middle School.
District police are fed up and they are looking for tips.
“There's people that know about it-- that know that there were calls made to the school. So if that person comes forward, we're going to prosecute to the fullest extent,” Chief Leon said.
The school district police chief is hopeful that if someone is finally arrested for any of the 12 incidents this year others will be less likely to do these types of pranks again.
