WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — All Palm Beach County public schools will be closed Monday because of Tropical Storm Eta.
Palm Beach County Superintendent Dr. Donald Fennoy made the announcement during a Sunday afternoon news conference as Eta threatens South Florida.
"This means that there will be no school tomorrow for students either in person or virtually," Fennoy said.
Palm Beach County officials also announced Sunday that county government services such as Palm Tran, public parks, beaches and libraries will be closed between 4 p.m. Sunday and mid-day Monday.
Solid Waste Authority will not be collecting waste on Monday.
County Mayor Dave Kerner said there are no plans to open any shelters.
