PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says it's investigating a "possible threat" at the South Florida Fair.
The agency tweeted on Friday it's working with fair officials to continue to provide security to all guests. It told WPTV it's taking the threat very seriously.
We're working with @SoFlaFair to continue to provide security to all fair guests. Yes, we're investigating a possible threat, but we have established protocols to address it. The details remain confidential, but please know our team is there to make sure everyone is safe. pic.twitter.com/sLvwjNAq3Z

PBSO wouldn't give specifics about the possible threat, including whether it's credible or unfounded, but did say it's established protocols to address it, and deputies will make sure everyone is safe at the fair.
The South Florida Fair, located at the fairgrounds at 9067 Southern Blvd. in suburban West Palm Beach, runs until Feb. 3.
