Students in Palm Beach County will see new lunch options as they head back to school Aug. 15.
Some of the new additions include:
• Asian green beans
• Spanish rice
• Beef and bean fiesta burrito
• Italian sub combo (freshly-made sub with baked chips)
• Ham and cheese sub combo (freshly-made sub with baked chips)
• Turkey and cheese sub combo (freshly-made sub with baked chips)
• Pepper jack mini-cheeseburger twins
• Romaine lettuce will replace iceberg lettuce in salads to increase nutritional value

School employees took a taste test on Tuesday to sample the new menu.
The school district is also expanding its supper program, which provides a free meal to students in aftercare programs.
Free breakfast is also available to all Palm Beach County students regardless of need.
