A Palm Beach County family complained they almost didn't get to cast their votes when they showed up to their local polling place wearing Trump shirts.
Jack Lord says his family was told by poll workers that it was against the law to wear a shirt showing support for a candidate.
Lord and his family of five say when they showed up to their polling place at St. Catherine's they had on their shirts supporting Donald Trump. But Lord says when they got to the front door, they weren't allowed in.
Lord says a precinct clerk explained they'd have to change, or turn their shirts inside out, before they could vote.

But as Contact 5 discovered, under state law, any voter has the right to wear campaign buttons, shirts, hats or any other items showing support for their candidate, when they vote.
Lord said he and his family stuck around for about 10 minutes before a supervisor eventually let them inside.
“It’s absolutely infuriating to know that people that were volunteers in this place would turn away a voter who was clearly not soliciting. We had stated that we were not soliciting and they turned us away anyway,” Lord said.
Lord was worried others would not have stayed and stuck up for their rights.
Contact 5 spoke to the supervisor who apologized for the misunderstanding and said it took staff a few minutes to find their statute book. That book showed it is perfectly legal to vote while wearing a candidate's name.
